Weekly Novel Update

Hello, everybody!

I am back for a weekly update on my novel. Since the last time I posted an update, I actually have not written anything for my novel; it is currently at 40,903 words. School and work have been kicking my butt the last week (since it was midterm week); however, I plan on writing this week.

I am about half-way through my novel and hope to be finished it by the beginning of summer.

Until next time,

March 2016 TBR Pile

Hello, everybody!

I follow some amazing BookTubers on YouTube and they started to peak my interest for monthly TBR piles. So, I’m just going to give you guys an overview of the books I’m going to be reading in the month of March and I’ll do book reviews for each one. The books I plan on reading are:

“The Rose Society” by Marie Lu

“The Host” by Stephenie Meyer
I only plan on reading just these two books this month because I am in the midst of my spring semester in college and I have a lot of homework to get done, plus writing my debut novel. If I get to any other books this month, it will be “City of Lost Souls” by Cassandra Clare.
I will be back later in the week to give you guys a weekly update on my novel, so stay tuned!
Until next time,

I’ve decided to update everybody on my writing journey once a week (I haven’t decided the day of the week yet). I’ll also be posting book reviews whenever I finish reading a book. I also have some fun and creative things I want to post weekly, but I’m not going to start doing that yet.
Until next time,

Book Review for “The Young Elites” by Marie Lu

'The Young Elites' book quotes

Genre: Fantasy/Young Adult

Date Published: October 7, 2014

Page Count: 355

Book Type: Paperback

Publisher: Penguin Random House

Rating: 5/5 stars

Yesterday, I finished “The Young Elites” by Marie Lu.

This storyline follws the character of Adelina Amouteru throughout her journey of being a young elite. Throughout her journey, she meets some incredible people who she thinks are her friends and tries to overthow the Crown; allthewhile, not trying to be killed in the process. Enzo Valenciano, the leader of the Young Elites, is quite skeptical of Adelina at first, but he warms up to her later in the novel…and Adelina warms up to him.

I was absolutely stunned by the ending of the novel. Lu had written such an amazing first book to this triology that I cannot wait to read the rest. Her writing style serves her justice. She is one of my favorite authors. I am currently reading the second novel in the trilogy “The Rose Society” and I can’t wait to see what happens in the book.
